Christmas Presents

I have decided to go Christmas shopping for my dogs yesterday.

Metta got his and is tearing it apart.

Sutra didn't get anything and is sulking.

Bodhi and Para Garte waiting patiently for their present.

Metta is definitely very happy with what he gets

Bodhi... the king on his bed.

  3. Hi JellyFish, They are all Tibetan Temple dogs. In Tibet, this dogs are protector of the temple and companion of the monks.

Metta is a Tibetan Spaniel, whereas Bodhi, ParaGarte and Sutra are Lhasa Apso.

Thus, the Tibetan name. Now if anyone can guess which Buddhist scripture/verse did all their name came from....

  5. I think it will look nicer if u put the picture at the centre instead of at the left,
so that the wordings will appear below the picture instead of cramping all the words in the small right hand corner.
    Looks untidy.

    YOur dogs are so lucky.
    How many dogs u have??
Haven't get any Christmas pressie for my doggy yet.
Btw, he just get one for his birthday early this month.

Hmm...Tibetan temple dogs named after scripture fighting...

  8. I think it will look nicer if u put the words at the left instead of at the centre, so that the picture will appear above the words instead of having so much space with all the pictures in the small left hand corner.
    Looks too darn tidy!
    Do it NOW!

AND I don't want to copy pics which the owner are not proud of by not plastering his BIG names all over the darn pics!

    ;o)

(not scared as hard to reach me when I am sitting in a kayak in the middle of a crocs-infested river!)

  11. Ah, Robin, as you know of our dog Momo (Peach) you know we love dogs. You have five! All so cute. Good on you for buying them presents.

Are their names all in the "Heart of Transcendental Knowledge" or Heart Sutra?

You have a secret identity as Robin, but here, through your dogs, perhaps you have revealed your true self.

  12. Bravo Bravo, Panda, indeed the intellect of the blogging community.

If you arrange all their names, you will discover the code to the Tibetan's "Heart of Transcendental Knowledge"

    Anyone else care to try?

  13. Hi Furkids, thanks for visiting

The problem with Sutra is that anything you give him will be destroyed in 2 hours. He is the Icon for destruction.

So he will get his present on 23 Dec 2005 in the afternoon before I board the plane.

Anyway, Metta's pressie is already destroyed.

  14. I sometimes wonder how well the people who make toys for pets test them out. I had a Golden Retriever in Hawaii (my ex-wife got custody of the dog) who loved getting presents of course, but would usually demolish them in a day. Still, you've gotta keep them busy and happy or they get bored just like us, yeah?

  15. haha.. Panda.. Pet Toys manufacturers should engage all my monsters.

If their products pass their test, they can sell to the zoo!

  16. Buy them rubber toy then, more durable :P

  17. oh my...you have ALOT of dogs....compared to only one that I have...

  18. Definitely no rubber stuff, knowing this chewing machines.

Rubber toy may be more durable but if swallow may choke them and I am no comfortable with long term carcinogens.

Read this site for known and suspected carcinogens.

If you are giving rubber chewy to your dog, I will report to SPCA.

  20. yes, Gus... too happy, especially when you come home to them.

They never fail to give the best welcome by trying to jump to lick your face, nibble your fingers and clean your legs with their saliva.
